There are three primary steps for getting found and they are:
- Creating great content - this can be as simple as web pages or more advanced like blog posts, articles, videos, presentations, photos, images, podcasts, webinars, ebooks, software, the list is only limited by your imagination. People are search for content on the Internet. Help them to find yours.
- Optimizing your great content - we create content with the goal of being found by prospective customers. Therefore, we need to optimize our content so that it can be found. This includes optimizing for the search engines and for the end user.
- Promoting your great content - now that we have created and optimized content, we can also promote it through multiple channels such as:
- social media
- pay per click (PPC) advertising
- email marketing
- other offline channels
