- Keyword Emphasis - Bold, italicize or underline the targeted keyword to add emphasis to the keyword in the eyes of search engines.
- Use of Meta Description - Do not leave the meta-description blank. Use it to address the targeted keyword.

- Keyword Stuffing - Multiple repetitions may be seen as an attempt to manipulate rankings. You risk getting your site penalized by search engines.
- H1 Tags - An article should have a single (not multiple) H1 tag, ideally using your keyword.
- Meta Keywords - Meta keyword use has been devalued by search engines. They don't benefit the site in any way, and may allow competitors to find out the keywords you are targeting.
- Excessive Internal Links - Having some internal links is good, but too many dilute the authority of a given page.
