Marketing Red Flags

"Nothing matches."
Customers are confused by inconsistent messages and visual imagery. Your brand must present a consistent image, and not appear to be from multiple companies.

"You don't know what you want."
Your business should have goals for the year and a five year plan. Determine your business objectives first, then adjust your brand and marketing accordingly.

"You don't know how to connect with customers."
Define your target audience. What messages matter to them? Answering that question will help you find where they spend time and allow you to connect with appropriate content.

"You're talking only about yourself."
Take time to build relationships on social networks, rather than being entirely self-promoting. Only meaningful content and conversations will build brand loyalty.

"The competition looks better than you."
You have to match or exceed your competitors in customer appeal to stay in business. Determine your differentiators, and build your marketing efforts around them.
