Using Vine for Marketing

Vine is a new short video app that allows you to share a maximum of six seconds of video footage on Facebook, Twitter, or Vine’s native social network. It also allows you to splice together bits of nonconsecutive video content to create a montage. From the Content Marketing Institute, here are six tips for adding Vine to your content marketing arsenal.

Show Off Your Brand
"Showing" is usually better than "telling". Six-seconds is enough time to show your brand, products or services in action. Pick the approach that’s best for your audience.

Send a Message to Your Customers
Vines are more engaging and interactive than text. Sending a news announcement or quick tip through a short video gives messages more impact.

Encourage Your Fans to Contribute
Recruiting your customers for marketing help fits into any budget. Prompt them to submit Vines around a specific idea that gels with your brand.

Leverage Existing Video Content
You can use Vine to create short previews that link back to longer videos. Vine is a great tool to change how you promote video content on Twitter.

Become a Journalist
Attend an event your customers might find interesting and report in short visual chunks with Vine. Vine has already proven itself in this regard as many brands used it during this year's South by Southwest.

Explain a Concept
Some concepts are easier to understand visually. Use Vine as a teaching or informational tool.
